HR 4739 (HIP 60781)

HR 4739 is a red giant star in the constellation Crux. At 442 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 5.38. It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 76.8 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 8,600 and 25,200 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It came closest to the Sun 1.7 million years ago when it had brightened to magnitude 0.89 from a distance of 56 light years.
