HR 2922 (HIP 36917)

HR 2922 is a blue subgiant star in the constellation Puppis. At 224 light years away, it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 4.65. HR 2922 is the primary component of a multiple-star system. It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 20.4 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 24,000 and 33,400 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
