The iron abundance of Xi Cygni is -0.26 (55.0% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 21.5 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 22,100 and 24,100 light years from the center of the Galaxy.
