Rotanev (HIP 101769)

Rotanev is a white subgiant star in the constellation Delphinus. At 101 light years away, it is the 339th brightest star in the Earth's sky, where it shines at an apparent visual magnitude of 3.64. Rotanev is a multiple-star system. The iron abundance of Rotanev is -0.01 (97.7% of the Sun). It is moving through the Galaxy at a speed of 37.9 km/s relative to the Sun. Its projected Galactic orbit carries it between 18,100 and 24,300 light years from the center of the Galaxy. It will come closest to the Sun 713,000 years from now when it will brighten to magnitude 1.90 from a distance of 45 light years.
